yesterday went to the post office and mailed my craft swap partner her package! that was on my to do list for a week then went to shop at buffalo and i got a coat, because my old one was cream and it got a few stains on it so if anyone know how to dye wool fabric please let me know. its a cute coat see
and i got this sweater i almost bought it once see blog entry here but yesterday i bought it not in the brown as you can see because the one from last time was still there and the button was still in the pocket so i still didn't get it.
ok i was gonna do it last night but i thought since sunday is the first day of the week technically i would do it day. start off the week with a great style icon. this week style icon is................are you ready for it?
she was Andy Warhol muse and what's good enough for Andy is good enough for me! she had one of the best styles in the 60's and i think that with out her it wouldn't have been the same.
every time i have a free day i always want to go to the craft store, and want to spend the rest of the day crafting. today is that day! I'm so excited. i have nothing planned except to finger knit, make a pair of ear rings and make some valentines. i know its early but if i wait till later i will never get them done.
also went to the book store and my sister and i got the martha stewart encyclopedia of crafts. now normally when we wait so long for a book of crafts we flip though it and are always disappointed however we were pleasantly surprised when we loved every project! so yeah if your thinking of getting this book you should its amazing and you wont be disappointed.
went to the mall today to get a hat it was navy blue and a-mazing! and it wasn't there any more i went a mini panic attack and thought oh no i can i live without this hat! so i told the girl behind the counter that i was there yesterday and i saw this hat and i wanted to by the hat and she replied "well we boxed them up today and they might have gotten picked up today but let me check to see if we still have it." she went to the back and let me tell you i was the longest minute of my life and i was like i guess if they don't have it i guess i can drown my sorrows in a grey sweater. but the girl came back with a smile on her face and my hat in her hand life made sense once again.
i know i know everyone is doing a pink post but i feel like i need to have one too not because its a cool color because it is, but because its a color that is associated with breast cancer survivors. my grandma had it my mom just had surgery yesterday to prevent it and now i am aware that its genetic. so here are a few pictures of pink inspiration.
had my best friend over went to dinner with her and my sister, then came home and my sister taught her how finger knit she said it was easer then crocheting. which i tried to make a hat like elsies from abeautifulmess but it came out weird i think im gonna try to fix it.
but other than that and the snow it was the perfect day. keeping my goals for the new year. which is good. trying to start the russian nesting doll project. still on the fence on what to pain on them found some cute one on etsy.
it feels like 2009 just flew by. but I'm ready for a whole new year to make my own. people make resolutions only to brake them two weeks after the new year, however this is not a list of resolutions its more a to do list. that can change get things added and get things taken off. its not an impossible goal list, every thing on this list is doable ok here is my list for 2010.
1. do more painting
2. more crafts
3. get out of my shell more (ok maybe this one is impossible but i can try right?)
